I'm here to stay
I have relalized I have become unhappy recently, something totally new for me. So I have decided to do something to change that. I think I am going to write a book. A book of questions that I can give to others but mainly so I can figure out who I am and how I want to impact the world. Questions such as; who are you, what is one thing you like about yourself, what is something the world needs more of, how do you want to impact others, what is your passion, do you want friends, who has influneced you the most, what is your greatest failure and what did you do after it happend, what are you proud of, why do you wake up each day, what are you thinking about? Just a few to add to the book. I think questions can change the world. I believe in gettting to know people and allowing them to feel value. So ask a question today to someone you don't usually talk to, and ask it like you mean it and really listen to the answer. Let me know how it impacted you.

That's a great idea! I am not even kidding when I say I have been working on a documentary idea that sounds exactly like you book idea. I want to film people answering those types of questions.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot in common, I read a couple of your blogs. I especially like the one about your plans. I feel the same way, I just want to go go go, and help others, but its really hard unless you have money, but if you get a job when do you have time to go? haha.
I like that idea. It seems a great place to start, especially at our age, where we are yearning to find out who we are and what we can do to make a differance.
ReplyDeleteAn encouragement from our time in Mississippi. All the wonders in the world can be found through service, especially service through faith. Saving the world or changing it can be a daunting task, but something to think about is that the smallest acts will help influence large change.
Spending a year with a group of 6th graders sounds like nothing, but in the end both the advisors of those young men, and those young men themselves will be changed. Upon maturing into manhood they will remember those dicussions and lessons in 6th grade.
Also, for you, I remember how you had passion about everything you did, makes you a very special person and you inspire me to take passion in things that I would normally never have desired to do.
Keep strongthere girl, you were always good at doing that. I don't know if your journey will lead you to find yourself, or if it will lead to creating yourself as a woman in this world, but either way count me in as at least a listener upon ts journey of yours.
I love you for this reason and more.
